The upcoming child psychodrama group is for children between the ages of 6-8. The group is planned to start on February 14 and continue until June 20. Group sessions will be held every Friday between 18:00 and 19:00. Participants will be determined after an interview with families and children who have applied to the group.

What is psychodrama with children?
Psychodrama with children is a group therapy technique in which children have the opportunity to express themselves by choosing roles appropriate to their psychological needs in a common scenario they create. Groups are managed by two therapists. Therapists provide therapeutic interventions to support children in meeting their basic psychological needs. Understanding children is only possible by coming into contact with them through play. Both the child and the therapist are under the protection of role playing. Unlike daily life, in psychodrama the child is in control. He/she finds new roles that are comfortable and fun by getting out of his/her exposed role, and becomes active and lively. He/she experiences security, protection and self-sufficiency.
Who is it suitable for?
Psychodrama with children is suitable for between the ages of 5-11. Before group work, an individual interview is conducted with each child. Children who are thought to benefit from the group process are included in the group.
Format and duration of groups
Groups consist of 4-6 children. Equal numbers of girls and boys are included in the group. The age range of children in the same group is maximum two. Sessions take place on the same day and at the same time every week. Session duration is 1 hour.
